Getting Started Is the Easy Part

No entrance exams. No waitlists. No complicated paperwork. You talk to us, we figure out where your kid fits, and they start learning. That's it.

Three Steps. That's All.

We keep it simple because enrolling in a school shouldn't feel like applying for a mortgage.

1

Talk to Us

Give us a call or fill out a quick form. We'll learn about your kid, answer your questions, and figure out if we're a good fit. No pressure, no sales pitch.

2

Apply Online

The application takes about 15 minutes. We'll ask for your kid's previous school records so we can place them in the right courses. That's it.

3

Start Learning

Once we review everything, your child meets their teachers and starts classes. Most families go from application to first day in under a week.

Here's What the First Week Looks Like

Your kid meets their teachers one-on-one. Not in a group Zoom with 30 other students. Just them and their teacher, having a real conversation about how they learn best.

By the end of week one, they'll have a schedule that actually works, teachers who already know their name, and a good sense of how everything runs. Most families tell us their kid feels settled in within a few days.

What We Need From You (Honestly, Not Much)

This isn't homeschooling where you're the teacher. We have experienced teachers for that. Your job is to make sure your kid shows up, has a quiet spot to work, and knows you're in their corner.

For younger kids (K-5), we ask that a parent is nearby during class time. For middle and high school, most students handle it independently. You'll get progress updates and can check in with teachers anytime.

Common Questions

These are the things parents ask us most. If yours isn't here, just call us.

Can we start in the middle of the year?

Yes. We enroll students year-round. Whether it's September or February, we'll get your child placed and started. There's no penalty for starting mid-year and no material they'll miss. We meet them where they are.

Is there an entrance exam or test to get in?

No entrance exam. We do a simple placement assessment after enrollment to figure out where your kid should be academically. It's not a pass/fail thing. It just helps us put them in the right classes.

How long does the whole process take?

Most families go from first conversation to first day of class in about a week. If you have your previous school records ready, it can be even faster. We don't drag things out.

What if we're not sure this is the right fit?

Call us and talk it through. We'll be honest with you about whether Sycamore is a good match for your child. We'd rather you make the right decision than make a quick one.

Do you accept students with IEPs or learning differences?

Yes. A lot of our families come to us specifically because their kid wasn't getting what they needed elsewhere. Our one-on-one model means every lesson is already adapted to your child. We'll work with any existing plans or accommodations.

Ready When You Are

Enrollment is open year-round. There's no deadline breathing down your neck. When your family is ready, we're here.

"We were nervous about pulling our daughter out of public school mid-year. Sycamore made it painless. She had teachers and a schedule within three days. By the second week, she told us she wished we'd done it sooner."
